Court Bookings

Public Booking Information

We are pleased to offer public bookings at Burnaby Tennis Club for those looking to enjoy our premier facilities. Public players can book courts in advance, with priority given to BTC members. Our courts are available for booking at specified times, and we strive to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players. Please review the booking guidelines below to ensure your reservation is completed successfully and in accordance with our policies. We look forward to welcoming you to our courts!

Indoor Season (October - April)

  • Court #1: Available for booking 48 hours in advance, in 1-hour increments, and may only be booked on the hour.
  • Courts #2 through #6: Available for booking 20 hours in advance.
  • A maximum of 2 hours may be booked consecutively.
  • $30.00 per hour (Tax included). We accept VISA and MasterCard.
  • All bookings must be prepaid online at the time of reservation.
  • Failure to prepay will result in automatic cancellation of the booking.
  • NO REFUNDS OR CANCELLATIONS.
  • Unauthorized coaching is not permitted; only Club Coaches are authorized to coach.
  • Please adhere to the court rules and etiquette posted throughout the facility.

Outdoor Season (May - September)

For the summer outdoor season, Courts 1-5 and 12-17 are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Courts 6-11 are reserved for Burnaby Tennis Club members, who have priority access to these courts. For assistance with public courts, please contact the City of Burnaby at parks@burnaby.ca or 604-294-7450.

Pay & Play Booking Information

Pay & Play membership offers flexible booking options for players looking to enjoy our facilities without the commitment of a full membership. With Pay & Play, you can book courts on a pay-per-use basis, making it easy to fit tennis into your schedule. Whether you're a casual player or looking to improve your skills, our Pay & Play program provides access to quality courts and a welcoming environment.

Indoor Season ONLY (October - April)

  • Access to the dedicated Pay & Play Court #1 is available up to 7 days in advance on a pay-per-use basis at the prevailing court rate
  • NEW: Guests of Pay & Play will incur a $5 guest fee per booking made 48 hours to 7 days in advance

    No guest fee for bookings made less than 48 hours in advance

  • Access to any court under 22 hours, if available
  • Court Fee: $30.00 per hour (Tax included)

General Rules & Etiquette

  • Members and guests MUST check in at the office before proceeding to the courts (Indoor Only).
  • Players must wait in the annex until the prior court time has ended and the buzzer sounds (Indoor Only).
  • Pack up your belongings and vacate the court promptly when the buzzer sounds at the end of your playing time (Indoor Only).
  • Players must use the curtained walkway to access courts 1 through 3 and 6 (Indoor Only).
  • Non-playing spectators, including parents and family members, are not permitted on the courts.
  • Proper tennis attire, including non-marking tennis shoes, is required.
  • The names on the booking must match those checking in.
  • A maximum of four players is allowed per court (including coaching courts and when using Courts 5 or 6 for ball machines or serving practice). All must be registered members or paying guests.
  • No more than 6 balls may be used on any court, except on Courts 5 or 6 (Outdoor Courts 6 or 7 with nets drawn).
  • Wait for a break in play before retrieving or returning a ball using your racket or feet, or wait for it to be returned to you.
  • Avoid loud grunting, shouting, or swearing, as it may disturb others.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside or around the bubble, courts, and clubhouse.
  • Children and pets must not be left unsupervised on club premises.
  • Unauthorized coaching is not permitted. Only Club Coaches are authorized to provide coaching. Immediate family members of junior members, all of whom must be BTC members, may coach each other.

Code of Conduct

BTC members and their guests are expected to abide by all rules, regulations, and BTC’s Code of Conduct. Violations of the rules or Code of Conduct will result in the following:

  • First offense: Warning letter
  • Second offense: Suspension of booking or playing privileges for 1 week
  • Third offense: Membership suspension or revocation (at the discretion of the Board)
