About the Scholarship

Burnaby Tennis Club supports the continuing education of young people who have made tennis and BTC a part of their life.

Application (Mandatory Conditions)

• Applications for 2026 must be submitted by September 30, 2026. The evaluation period is October 1–31, 2026, with notification given by November 2026.
• You must be between 17-24 years of age in the year of application.
• You must be a Burnaby resident at the time of application.
• You must attend full-time studies in a trade, diploma, or degree program at a designated post-secondary institution with tuition costs of at least $1,000.
• This scholarship is only available to first-time recipients.
• Applicants will receive scoring points based on eligibility criteria below.
• The maximum scholarship amount is $1,000 upon establishment in 2025 with the amount periodically reviewed and adjusted for inflation.

Eligibility Criteria (Not mandatory but points will be earned)

• Applicants may submit a written application or complete an online form
• Membership in BTC not required but present or past membership preferred
• Other past or present connection with BTC
• Participation in competitive tournaments sanctioned by TC or TBC
• Has represented BTC as home club in tournaments or other events
• Attended primary or secondary education in Burnaby
• Pursuing post-secondary education in BC preferred but not required
• Present most recent transcripts with a good level of grade accomplishment

• Burnaby Tennis Club reserves the right to apply its sole discretion in determining an applicant's eligibility. In all cases, proof may be required.
• In applying for this Scholarship, you agree to provide personal information. Burnaby Tennis Club will only use such information for the purposes of administering or promoting this program. Your name may be disclosed.
