Tournament Director — Burnaby Open

The Burnaby Tennis Club is seeking an experienced individual to serve as Tournament Director for the Burnaby Open. This is a key leadership role in one of the club's premier annual events, overseeing a team of staff and volunteers across all 12 days of competition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of an Assistant, Scheduler, Club Manager, and Volunteers
• Manage daily staffing from pre-match setup through end-of-day takedown
• Recruit, orient, and schedule volunteers from BTC membership and local high schools
• Liaise with service providers including the food concession operator and cleaners
• Coordinate Tennis BC staff (Referee/Rovers) to oversee matches
• Respond to entrant questions and complaints professionally
• Arrange indoor court rentals in the event of rain
• Ensure daily cleaning, washroom restocking, and garbage removal
• Enter match results using tournament software
• Submit a post-tournament summary report covering financials, participation, and results
